The wood was more spectacular in person. This type of flame is my favorite in appearance. Don’t be fooled by the tan color it is oxidation and sun exposure. With only a few passes from my hand plane and the wood was creamy white. The sides were resawn thicker than my final dimension, which I prefer. Also, the the sides came from the same board. Exceptional!
